Cassia Milano is run out of Carlton — a few streets from Lygon Street, in a pocket of Melbourne that's had Italian tailoring, coffee and design running through it for generations. We didn't invent that connection. We just decided to keep building on it: taking the instinct for a clean cut and a considered fabric that Milan is known for, and applying it to clothes an Australian woman would actually reach for on a Tuesday.

That's the whole idea behind the name, and it's the standard we hold ourselves to on every product page before it goes live: a blazer should sit properly through the shoulder. A coat needs real wool in it, not just wool in the name. A dress should look like a finished outfit on its own, because most mornings nobody has time to build one from separate pieces.

We're a small team and we're honest about that — some categories are still growing, and some styles rotate faster than others with the seasons. What doesn't move is the bar: pieces that look and feel like they cost more than they do, priced so you can actually build a wardrobe out of them instead of collecting one piece at a time.
